La Sal Conditions

by voxnihili » Thu Jun 18, 2015 7:26 pm

Has anyone been to the La Sal Mountains in the last few days? I'm wondering what the snow conditions are up on the ridges before I make a trip out there this weekend. Any info that can be shared would be greatly appreciated.

I made it out this weekend and thought I'd post a quick update for anyone interested: it's basically summer conditions in the La Sals. Almost all the snow has melted from the north slopes; about all that remains is in chutes. I did the middle La Sal traverse (Tuk to Mellenthin) and only had to walk across snow once on the ridge.
