I'm been doin a little of get back in shape hikes like Baldy, Saddle, Blackmore, and Hardscrabble from the N Cottonwood side (that was a bitch). I'm trying a "first" ascent of Jumbo Mountain above Lava Lake tomorrow. Jumbo isn't on SP, and there are no trails shown and I don't know anybody that has done it. Probably a lot of bushwackin and a high possibility of failure but I'm goin nonetheless. If you want to do this or any other then look me up.

I'm a hiker and not a climber. Pretty slow too but I usually achieve the summit.

Still looking for local hiking partners. I did do Jumbo. I went up Table Mtn. yesterday which was also above Lava lake. That was about a 16 mile hike. It is interesting being passed by young folks on the way to Lava Lake but after that I'm the only one going for the high peaks. Didn't see anyone for about 8 hours. I guess I'm the slow but steady type. I want to do Mt Wilson and Gallatin Peak soon.
