puna de atacama in mid-december

by colint » Wed Oct 31, 2007 9:51 pm

I am going to be traveling through the area on my way from Ecuador to Mercedario, and it looks like I will be able to set aside up to two weeks to climb something. I have not really researched much yet, but on the Argentina side, from Fiambala perhaps, what is a good climb to do solo? Basically that means less than a four day approach and primarily hiking. I will be acclimatized and am fine with navigation etc.
Thanks,
Colin

Yes, I did that walk and water wasn't a problem there. Actually all the way from Refugio Veladero, to Pissis and back. There are water to be found. Sometimes running in small creeks, but most of the time we had to melt penitentes.

That's the right topic, I guess...

Has anybody an actual contact to Johnson Reynoso? Telephone number, e-mail, anything?
The website (http://www.andesargentinos.com.ar/) seems to be dead right now.

Thanks for reply.

Jacek.

Thanks Damien, I'll try on these adresses.
