If you get a permit for back country camping in Grand Canyon, they send you a video on safety issues to watch. It talks about the need to take plenty of water and stay on the trail. Also talks about not burning toilet paper. They have a few people who got in trouble and had to be rescued on it and remind you that if do need a helicopter you will have to pay for it. They also have one person on it who burned toilet paper and ended up starting a fire. I imagine the testimonials were part of a plea bargain.

same type of thing for rafting the grand canyon.

We regularly have safety meetings before, during and after climbing trips no matter where we go.
