SOLID DOWN COAT

by climbhigh » Thu Dec 05, 2013 11:12 pm

I am looking for a down jacket. From what I understand, Golite is a pricepoint brand, but I am looking at their top of the line coat which is around 200 bucks. Is this a decent jacket? Anything better out there in this price range or category?

Thanks

If you are planning on climbing in anywhere but 'dry' ranges, you might be better off with a 100g Primaloft belay jacket rather than down.

Ended up getting a screaming deal on a montbell frost line parka. It will be used in winter for snowshoeing/climbing in Idaho. Any thoughts on this coat? The zipper keeps snagging which makes me nervous...
