If you can get your ass over to Whitney Portal this eve, your more than welcome to join me on a speed ascent of the EB of Whit.

We will be on trail @ 0200 and are planning on a 12 hour or less C-C gig.

Ya gotta be fast!

You game!

I know and we gotta go climbing sometime, but I can't go jump on a big wall with my meager skillz, I'm not stupid...I just act like it sometimes...It will take me 3 days to complete that climb right now...

DUDE....

The East Buttress of Whitney is not a Big Wall.

It's a 8-9 P 5.6 Classic.

I'll be bumming around the meadows, echo peaks and some moderate cragging...
GMRS radio at 4 2, ring me if you have extra beer...

Dude, I offered, there is so much to do in Idaho your head would pop off.

Just a suggestion here--- I think Low Profile dome would be a good place to do some cragging. I'm no star climber, having less than a year under my belt, but I led Golfer's Route and thought it was fun. Checked out R2D2 from the new super topo and that didn't look so bad, and the first pitch of black widow looked ok too.

It wouldn't be bad to get there early even if it is cold outside, it gets hot up there.

Really? Are you laughing because of the 700 miles approach or laughing at these babies?

All I can say is, if the Chief offered to let me join on an East Buttress climb I'd jump on it. I'm going on a big dive Sunday otherwise I'd ask to get in on it.

Now if you want to drive to the Bay Area and either pull some plastic or boulder at Castle Rock saturday....

Second that one, Squish. Jeez, run a bit or something. Shit, you could've made it with the Chiefs' crew.

There are fun climbs there, unconquerable is really fun, i've only top roped there. seems like dinkum would be fun to lead next time i go. unconquerable would be great too, if you've got a #5 or 6 camalot. didn't do test piece, next time

Hey Squish,

If you;re in the area, go checkout Mosquito Coast, fun place to climb, and nice shake up to Consumnes.
