Earlier today, the famous Azure Window collapsed during a storm. The top was almost 30 m above sea level. The roof as well as a big chunk of the pillar on the left are gone now. For more information, see The Times of Malta.
Only a few months ago I was there, on a calm and sunny winter day. I knew that the arch was structurally weak, and climbing it was forbidden, so we only looked at it. I never thought that it could be gone so soon.
