Anybody have beta on getting to the true summit of Twin Peaks??? Seems pretty sketchy to us. But, the hiking trail drops you on the lower E Summit. There is a visible summit register on the W Summit and it appears a few feet higher than the E Summit. Kind of anti-climatic to come so close, but yet be so far away.....
Judging from 200 views with no replies.........not too many folks make it to the summit! The obvious gully to the top looks pretty much like unprotectable low fifth class gnar with some dirt and bushes thrown in for good measure. Sometimes, I guess, you just have to be happy with a false summit!
Sorry, I don't follow it. It is a 5ht class scramble to the summit. Most people bring a rope. I myself have not done it, but know people who did. It is loose.
