what route in particular? I have not been to the CB since 2014 but have many contacts in Huaraz that could probably answer your question; drop me a line with a few more details and i'll see if i can dig anything up for you

I am going to the CB next week. Any info on current conditions on Huascaran and Chopicalqui? Thanks!

According to several guides in Huaraz, there have been no ascents of Huascaran this year (as of mid-June). Chopicalqui has been climbed but snow is waist-deep near the top. This has been an unusually wet year and the dry season is starting later than usual. Good conditions on lower mountains (Pisco, Yanapaccha, Ishinca, Vallunaraju).

I am in Huaraz now and several teams have claimed to have climbed Huascaran recently. Supposedly conditions are OK, but not great. Still better than last year.
