Picacho del Diablo - "Beetle" Bush

Interestingly, those beetle-like insects were on this one bush ONLY. All the plants around it were free from those insects. We saw that on our way back down to the car while in the canyon after yet a second failed attempt on Picacho Del Diablo from the East. Picacho Del Diablo is the highest peak in Baja California. (April 2004)

Looks like Shirley is selecting the fattest ones to add to the camp soup, or maybe she wants one to crawl in her mouth raw! :)
