ripper333 and I found an easier place to cross the stream. There's a flat, open area a short distance from the 'log bridge' that we used to cross. Socks and shoes had to come off but we waded through the stream. From there, a primitive but easy to see trail starts almost immediately. Heads all the way into the basin!
