Okay...

I need to whip my butt into shape... I'm JEALOUS of your climb!!! Looks like you had spectacular conditions. Guess I'll have to settle for "Little Italy" with my skis on my back!:-)

Shoot!

Now I'm even more bummed to have missed this year's trip. All weekend long we kept thinking how glad we were to be warm and dry at home and not stuck in crappy weather on the Y. And then you have to go a write a dazzling report like this - shame on you. I even missed an ideal opportunity to break out my pin-stripe glissade pants! Thanks Kevin, I'm going to bed. (PS: Congrats on a great climb!)

Y-couloir TR's

Hey Kevin, nice database of Y-couloir TR's you got going here =) so, I just finished reading through this most recent one and am reading through the others. I was going to ask: When do you think the best time of year to go is? You claim to have had the best conditions on your recent trip. Do you envision the snow melting out anytime soon? Seems I'd best get after it asap. Cheers! ~A

timeframe

Conditions on the Y vary from year to year, but it sounds like it's still in pretty good shape, but won't be in for much longer. Here's some recent beta from 14ers.com.
