Spring Hiking on Barr Trail at Pikes Peak
Hiked up Barr Trail from Hydro Station Parking Lot. First note the lot now requires a reservation and its not cheap.Next at least today the trail was filled with postholes after Barr Cabin. Before that the usual spring hiking mix of slush and light snow.
I only made it to the A Frame as the trail was mostly unbroken after Barr Trail. If you are going up Barr start at the latest 4:30 before the snow softens to paste.
Great hike, blue bird day, just some snow and unbroken trail.
