Pinatubo: Journey back in time

The first day was a long hike along a rutted road where the main traffic is ox-pulled cart. The rutted road between town and country was almost like a time machine. On one side was roads and traffic and shops, on the other side is only walking paths and cows, rice fields and the sounds of birds. The scenery was fantastic - a shallow floodplain through rolling hills and an occasional ford.
