Pinatubo: Morning rays on the foothills
The open-sided shelter is where we slept, basically on top of a picnic table. The village is scattered over a few square miles and has less than 1000 inhabitants according to my estimation. There was one small school house and a food store which was the size of a tollbooth. I think I bought a tin of dried anchovies. From the village, the trail died out quickly and we ended up following a river bed for many miles towards Pinatubo itself.
