very nice trip report, you made very good time from baldy village to mt. baldy. I've actually taken a similar route, first starting in wrightwood, then climbing over dawson, pine then baldy and then down to baldy village. The trail down to the village is long and tedious but very beautiful.
thanks, I guess I am hard on myself at time, I prefer to make it to Baldy from the village in under 3 hours. I have actually never descended this trail,
