Pinnacles NM, CA

The Pinnacles is probably my favorite place. Clearly, I spend a lot of time there due to its proximity. However, every time I go there, I discover something new and am amazed at how beautiful the place is. This photo symbolizes that to me. It is the backside of Bouldering Rock, which I have hiked past many times without paying any attention to it, on my way to climb. The day I took this picture, I walked around just because I wanted a photo of Sandrine. I love the moss and lichen growing on the rock, Machete Ridge as a back drop. It is a bit magical to me, as is the Pinnacles. Taken 12/16/06.
