Superb day out
Fantastic route taking in both Pico and Cerro Plata - climbed with Jon Watt at the end of a fabulous 3 weeks in the Cordon del Plata. Made the climb from high camp at Portezuelo Lomas Amarillas and had a perfect almost windless summit day - after a very windy night at the col. Took us about 6 1/2 hours to reach top of Pico and 8 hours Cerro Plata from a pre-dawn start. We descended all the way from Cerro Plata to Campo Salto in 2-3 hours.
