Pool in Outlaw Canyon

To pass this water-filled hole in Outlaw Canyon we carefully inched our way across the downsloping ledge above it. Hand holds were thin and I doubt the rope we were clipped to (which was anchored on both sides) would have kept us out of the water if we would have slipped. It was mostly just psychological protection. Some members of our party chose to swim the pool instead. Dinsosaur National Monument, Colorado. October 2009.
