Snow storm climb
Did this the same day as Mitchell and the Pinnacle. Most of the hike up was in a whiteout but not enough accumulated that I couldn't find my way back by footprints.

Nice little mountain from road
From entrance to Mt Mitchell, took MST? I think, then off trailed (manway) it through open area with rock outcrops to forest at top. Great views on way up and rugged Spruce-Fir and rocks on top. Fun, short journey
Wounded Knee, you gotta go back and do this peak by the boundary trail. That route is about as spectacular as it gets in the NC mountains. No views? Maybe not at the top, but they're fantastic on the way up. BTW, the traditional name for the peak is "Potato Top" and you'll see that name in the old literature and hear it from the old timers. The folks who make the topos seem to think everything has to be a "knob", though.
