Pravicicka Brana

Pravicicka Brana

Pravičicka Brana is one of the biggest and most beautiful rock arches in Europe. It is located close to the border between Czech republic and Germany - still completely on the Czech side. The mountain massif is in Germany called Elbsandsteingebirge and is a natural parc - the same holds true on this, on Czech side. Spring, 2009.

Gorgeous!

A great shot you took of that one, Vid! I'm hoping to see it myself in little over a week's time - I'm spending a couple of days in the Sächsische Schweiz with a friend!
Cheers,
Eric

Re: Gorgeous!

Just got back from Sächsische Schweiz - a very special area indeed! Alas, the road between Königstein and the first village on the Czech side was closed, so we had to miss out on the Prebischtor for this time, but I saw the Schrammsteine, the Gohrisch, the Bastei, the Affensteine - all very inspiring! I will be posting photos later on!
Cheers, Vid,
Eric

Re: Gorgeous!

Fine Eric! I must also post a few things from our recent trip to Ticino. I'm awfully lacking time to do it.

Great Arch

Love this one, what is the function of that building on the right? Is it a house, monastery, something entirely different. It would certainly make a great conversation piece in anyone's back yard.

Re: Great Arch

You mean building on the left?

I think it's a restaurant. Or even a hotel. When we were there, it was closed. You need to walk till here, so people normally wouldn't stay longer.

But the arch is great, yes :)
Cheers!
