Great TR

Awesome report for an epic trip! I'll have to forward this along to "someone-who-should-not-be-named-but-will-probably-read-this", so he can enjoy it too. BTW, I am on my way upstairs with the Presi map so we can plan the Great Gulf trip.

Congrats!

I'm headed to Mt Washington and Mount Mansfield in VT next weekend, and I've been watching the weather. I saw that weather you just endured, and I'm hoping I get lucky and run into some clearer weather. Great pictures, though!

2009 Presi traverse

We want to do a traverse next year...our 2nd summer of hiking. Not really a beginner...but the next best thing to a beginner.

We did Adams...in the driving rain (I SWEAR it was sleeting), 60 mph gusts, and fog so thick we missed thunderstorm junction coming down...this was EARLY AUGUST. How depressing.

Re: 2009 Presi traverse

Yeah thats no fun. I don't think we could have asked for better weather on our trip, it was real foggy and treacherous the first day, then it cleared up for Sunday and Monday. Doing a traverse is good, since your chances of having good weather in the 3 days that your there are much better than a one day hike.
