Glad you added this page. Nice overview. For this to be four stars though, I would think it needs the following:

1-more details in Getting There. What is the nearest major interstate and how specifically do I get to the trailhead from there? Can you give mileage from point to point? Is the trailhead on Highway 199 and if so, what is the nearest milemarker?

2-So are permits required or not? If so, how and where do you obtain them?

3-Give the phone number to the nearest Ranger Station.

4-Add photos.

Thanks, let me know if you update the page and I'll review my vote to make it higher.

This must be the mountain

That was so prominent in the extreme SW from McLoughlin. Methinks you need to change your vote on this page though Dennis!

Old Timer

Yes, I worked for the Klamath National Forest Service from 1966 to 1972 as a surveyor. We were always walking in the back woods wilderness. Preston Peak area was my favorite. And still is. I still want to climb it and some of the Pacific Crest Trail. Getting old, though but it is my plan now that I'm retired. Thanks for the Page for Preston Peak!
