The differenceWhen Dean climbed this route in October he described what you see in this picture as "The shaft is sustained for three pitches and involves steep climbing on icy runnels, snow-covered rock."
In this photo taken in May, you'll see Cory above the first two pitches. Those boulders and ice runnels are under feet of perfect snow acting like an escelator to get you to the crux. Based on Dean's approach pictures, it didn't look hard, just un-fun to get to the 3rd crux pitch.
