Pinus Nigra?Appears to be Pinus Nigra in it's natural habitat. Widely used in cooler to cold areas of the USA as an ornamental and wind break plant, here it is natural. I think.

yes it is natural: this is the famous Bavella "Pinus laricio", a subspecies of Pinus Nigra widely diffuse in Corsica and some others Mediterranean regions.

Re: Pinus Nigra?Exactly. But unfortunately in this region of Corsica they fall victim to the caterpillars of the pine processionary. Not visible on this pic but a lot of the forest around Bavella is infested by these bugs. And if you touch them you get itching and hurting rashes - big time. Took two weeks for me - the entire vacation and more - to get back my smooth skin ...
