Quaking Aspens (Populus tremuloides) still in their summer color near the South Loop Trail. There is a thunderstorm brewing in distance. Spring Mountains, Nevada. September 2007. The name of these trees refers to the quaking or trembling of the leaves which occurs even in a slight breeze.
