Quebrada Quilcayhuanca - with Andavite in the distance

Andavite is getting closer every step I take. It is in fact an easy climb to the summit, but a sizable part of the route goes up a scree slope. Very tiresome, and I didn't even try. Only later I met someone who had climbed it, and he said it was worth it. Maybe next time. 16 June 2011.

Beautiful scene!

Lovely path with the stream, grasses, cattle, rocky slopes and snow covered mountain to look ahead at! Nice work!

This is a relatively quiet part of the Cordillera Blanca. Occasionally, there are some hikers and climbers, but much less than in the more popular areas, and the scenery is just as good - but Andavite is just at the junction of two valleys, wait 'till you get to the end and you see things like this:
