Quintessential Fluting

Quintessential Fluting

A striking example of fluting. An unnamed peak in the Imja Valley, Khumbu Nepal. The lower slopes of Ama Dablam in the foreground.

Re: Spectacular

Thanks! It's fun to play around with the grayscale dial in photo editing software, and to learn what pictures look good in B&W and which don't. The ones that look good in B&W almost always look good in color, but not the other way around. I think it helps improve your eye for those rewarding lighting conditions.

I'll point you to one more which also came out nice in grayscale: Langtang Lirung

Take care.
