Evening hike after returning to Anchorage from sea kayaking near Whittier. I can't believe we topped out after 9 and still had hours of daylight left! Fun scramble

Led my niece, Hannah Gruhn, to the summit on May 18, 2012.
Took Bruce Kittredge to the summit on April 30, 2013.
Hiked this peak 3 times in the last two summers, great climb for beginning hikers. Would like to try the prow route.

Indeed, this is a fantastic spring hike/climb. Every year I climb it numerous time to make sure I'm ready for harder mountains. I climbed it as a part of an MCA club trip led by Dave Hart in 2002. This year I repeated that traverse, which is a fantastic traverse by the way.
Great ski tour with Rhett and Dan while on exchange at UAF.
My first experience seeing fellow telemarkers busting 360s in the back country. hope to return
