South ridge from Big Creek Lake  Sucess!

Went up the east ridge of the south peak, then continued up the long south ridge. The whole east side of the south ridge is heavily corniced - no shortcut up. Beautiful area this time of year! Great to be able to walk up the snow ramps - no equipment needed. Glad I didn't try the east ridge (maybe in summer without dogs). Lots of ladybugs on top and some mushrooms back down the trail.

East Ridge- Day Trip  Sucess!

Climbed this in an exhausting day (7 hrs, 45 mins). Ran most of the trail- it is very conducive to trail running. Climbed up the SE ridge and then across the East Ridge to summit. A fun finish. Great views from this peak!

Three Summits  Sucess!

Hiked to Big Creek Lakes and set up camp on the 3rd. My friend Jim and I climbed Ranger Peak along with Point 8570 - Ranger Point and Old Stormy on the 4th. We returned to the trailhead on the 5th, just missing the rain moving into the area.
