Rappel practice

Dennis, Adam Helman and I had signed up to do the Grand Teton. I took this shot of Adam working on belaying skills that we did during our first day of rock school training. Unfortunately for me, we celebrated that evening at an outdoor eatery just outside the park and i got some bad food that gave me food poisoning and effectively knocked me out of the key second day of training which was required for a summit ascent attempt with the Exum guides. Both Adam and Dennis went on to summit the Grand and I moped around all jealous like. Yes, i know, that mountain will still be there next year. Aug 2008
