Rare Unburned Portion of Trail

This area is one of the few places that hasn't burned on the hike to Three Prong Mountain. The trail seen crossing this photo is light as it is, but when the fire removes all the vegetation and turns everything black, the trail is very difficult, if not often impossible to find. July 2009
