Actually I don't know. We can ask him. But I'm almost sure that huts in Slovenia are named by famous persons from mountaineering history.
So, the question is - Is Vid famous enough?
Maybe Summitpost community can build bivouac, or a hut in the Vid's honor. Because, here, he certainly is. We can start forum about this question.
And, actually spelling is the same. I wrote Pogacnik, instead of Pogačnik. This letter C prounanced as CH, you have in slovenian and croatian, but not in english language.
