"Sport Ice" :)Fun stuff. I did this once too - placed screws while climbing on toprope, then lowered off and pulled the rope. Then led it ground-up clipping the screws as I went. Perhaps a little more worrisome on sunbaked ice though =:-O

Well. . .It was my very first lead on ice, and my second time on an ice climb. I have led a lot of rock ,so it didn't feel too different. I ended up placing a screw near the top but I forgot a quickdraw!!

CorrectionSorry, wrong pic, this was a later climb. I did do that on my first lead.
