Red Flowers in Barrel Cactus on North Kaibab Trail

This picture was taken May 19, 2013 on the North Kaibab Trail between Phantom Ranch and Cottonwood Camp. We had seen literally hundreds of yellow flower blooms before coming across some red blooms, which then started to become more prevalent, but in far lesser numbers than the yellow blooms. Note there is also a yellow bloom in this picture in the background.
