Nice ridge line
Needed a break from the crowds of Shenandoah National Park and I got it. The paved road to the top was mostly on the ridge itself so the blackflies had a hard time with the wind which was a nice bonus. They had a fire on one side of the road fairly recently.

Disappointing top.
Drove up to Reddish Knob summit a few minutes after hiking the Flagpole on Slate Springs Mountain. Drive was nice but the top was very disappointing and ugly with the grafitti. Still, nice views despite some incoming clouds.

Drove Up
Took the wife and kid up in the truck. That road to the top is very tight but worth it for the views. It would be nice if they could get rid of all the graffiti up there though.

Drive up from West Virginia side
Heading home from a weekend in the mountains my wife and I drove up Reddish Knob from the West Virginia side. It was a little more difficult a drive than the gazetteer led on (I thought the thicker red line meant it was paved - silly me). But we made it up and were rewarded with a stiff breeze, fall colors below, incredible views - some of the best in Virginia, and lots of graffiti.

WTF? I was rather disappointed with this "knob," because of all the crazy rain in the past few weeks, it was just way too muddy to do much hiking without breaking a leg. The summit is a graffiti parking lot but the drive from Harrisonburg was beautiful.
