Isn't Vee Lake a fantastic area? I visited it for the first time this past summer: I'm going back!

I couldn't agree more. That was my all time favorite backpacking trip. We came up the East Fork, visited every one of the Bear Lakes during 12 days, and exited back to the JMT via the Hilgard Branch. That is beautiful country!

The Seven Gables area really is spectacular. So many great places to visit, and so little time on this earth... Thx for the vote!

On my last visit to that basin, took several strong 4x5 Provia images from shoreline spots along the rocky peninsula that look much like your fine pic. My favorite was however not from there but back at the meadow in the north arm. But this perspective shows off the impressive face of the north peak better.

I've seen some of your photos of the Seven Gables. They are beautiful. It's hard to take a bad picture out there really. Every view is breathtaking. Cheers!
