Resting Spring Range

Resting Spring Range

Looking south from the summit of Shadow Mountain (5069 feet) at the other hills and peaks in the Resting Spring Range beyond which Pahrump Point and the Nopah Range is visible, January 1, 2016. The Resting Spring Range was named for the wagon trains headed west on the Old Spanish Trail which stopped here to water and recuperate their animals before crossing Death Valley.
