Thanks. They're nice mountains. Said to have the cleanest watershed on the east coast. I think that's pretty accurate. At least as good as it gets. Tremendous array of tree cover, despite the fact that hwa has finally pretty much wiped out the hemlocks. Everything else seems to be in good shape, though. Highest peak we've found is Buzzards Roost which is a tad under 3000 feet. Don't believe the stories about 3100-foot peaks in the range. As far as we've been able to figure, Buzzards Roost is the highest at 2,980.
