gonna go back & give it another go Martin? I think Michael Stanton's got a TR on this route on his webpage. Always thought it would be a cool one (a grade III on basalt!! rare stuff right)

Maybe. I'd bring a stick clip next time. I think a hold broke off recently making this one section MUCH harder. Neither of us could do it.

It's kind of weird face climbing, not really enjoyable to be honest. It is also quite loose and chossy. It's Andesite which is half granitic and half basalt, but not even close to the rock quality at The Bend or RC.

Do the routes on Goat Wall in Mazama, like Prime Rib instead. Not a great line either, but MUCH better than RTL, in my opinion.
