Re: Wow!Thanks! That is a really short beautiful fall hike that no one apparently does. Well worth the fee!

Re: Wow!Hey folks. Peakwolf-I have seen this ridge route, which I have submitted to the Mount Evans Page (Mount Evans Loop), completely crammed with people, but most never finish up on Evans, They turn around on Spaulding. I've found most are hoping to see mountain goats, since this area is a favorite haunt for them.
I was doing this route for years long before it was "popular" or before there was a well worn trail anywhere along the route. This is a good one to get in shape on and teach folks basic scrambling skills. With the fee, I do it less but I still do it 'cause it's a classic for sure. I recommend it because as you say, it's worth the fee.
Larry-I've done this route in all sorts of weather situations, but fall is certainly a favorite time for me.

Re: Wow!Hey Aaron, Guess we just hit it lucky that weekend. And yeah there are often goats. In fact they are rather aggressive in the Mt. Evans area and will come right up to you. I love animals, but not sure I want big goats (with very sharp horns) who are expecting handouts running over to me!
