Rocky Coast of Acadia National Park

Rocky Coast of Acadia National Park

The rugged coastline of Acadia National Park, ME. In the distance is Otter Cliff, a well-known area for technical climbs (often over the water if the tide is in). Imaged in July 2010.

Nice shot!

Brings back nice memories of a great Scout trip through here in 2005 after canoeing along the St. Croix. Kids couldn't resist scrambling all over these!

Looks like you had beautiful weather too!

Re: Nice shot!

Thanks, Silversummit! Being the consummate photographer, beautiful weather is cloudy (but not solid overcast) weather. It was hotter than normal, driving lots of folks to the sand beach at the park to beat the heat. But, our hike to Cadillac Mtn summit was almost without anyone else around (we started early). --mark d.
