Introduction

Its first purpose is to make an ascent safer.
It enables to save someone from a crevasse, or to abseil quickly from a summit.

However the rope also brings a true link between climbers.
It merges them together as a single entity.

Whether it be on rock, ice or snow, feel free to add-up your picture highlighting the use of rope.
