Thanks Radek! My girlfriend always teases me about Roque Nublo. When we were there last winter I took gazillions of pictures of the rock. Last summer she gave me a t-shirt with the rock as a birthday present! Anyway, the Canarias are really great and this rock in the middle of Gran Canaria really tickles your imagination. The actual climb is short - five pitches - but it is very exposed since the rock is located on a plateau towering above a caldera. It looked like fun when we observed the climbers. I'm not sure about the difficulty I stated in the Via Alemanna route, it's a UIAA V and that certainly translates into more than 5.5

Untitled CommentNice page on a bold rock in the Canaries-where Columbus started his voyage west.
Looks interesting only has 2 snow days per year!

Untitled CommentHehe, she's my sister and really a nice gal. I suppose she just mis-clicked. But that's the kind of support you get from the women of your family :-))
Hadn't seen it before and I'll link the Christmas present with the fourth star :-))))
