Round-headed Rampion Phyteuma orbiculare
Phyteuma is a genus of about 40-45 species of flowering plants in the family Campanulaceae, native to Europe and western Asia. The common name is Rampion. Rampion features prominently in some versions of the story of Rapunzel. In the original versions of the fairy tale "Rapunzel" (in the Grimm brothers' tome and Perrault's similar book in French, and others) it is noted that "rapunzel" is the name given to a local form of rampion.
