Route up Colden

This is the route up Colden as viewed from Algonquin. Note your exit point on the summit of Colden and the approximate distance from where you will find the herdpath leading to the 1990 slide. Also note that the correct exit from the dike through the existing tiny hiking trail will lead you across some bushes. Nothing to write home about. If you have to bushwack through an endless sea of bushes, you may have exited too high. Do not despair. Just keep going across sideways without climbing and you will eventually hit the summit slide. Also note that the dike is not entirely shown on the picture, hidden in part by the summit of Algonquin.
