Re: Route?

Its the south face of The Tooth, i spent about a hour writing up a trip report, and then summitpost randomly logged me out, and then when i tried again later it was being glitchy and stupid.

Re: Route?

What browser are you using? I did a test which confirmed that if your using a good browser, this wouldn't happen. But agreed, you shouldn't have to use certain browsers to post a trip report! I've lost trip reports before like that. Finally I swapped from IE (in 2010) to a modern browser which my life was much better on the internet after that. Did you use the new editor when doing this?

Re: Route?

Yeah, i've got it posted now, although the font is small like on the Chair peak report. not sure why it did that. the computer i was using at the time was being weird, our internet was cutting in and out. the glitch where it wants to delete spaces between words seems to come and go, deleting the report entirely and starting over seemed to work, but then i also started on a different computer, so who knows.

Re: Route?

At the very beginning of your TR you have strange code like <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Times New Roman"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px">

Also you have things like apple font and such which most people viewing probably don't have thus making your display of text different from ours. In the future try pasting the trip report from microsoft word or what ever program your using and insert it into notepad. This way the strange formatting gets stripped. Or simply paste it into the old editor.

Re: Route?

weird, the new editor must be creating that at the beginning of each paragraph when i copy paste from Pages. when i delete it the text returns to normal. the trick is going to be finding it amid all the table and image gobbledygook.

Re: Route?

Yup, the new editor tries to process the rich text as best as it can. Sometimes editors best don't cut the mustard. So a safe bet is having it as non rich text.

So here's my advise, place in the text first and then deal with the formatting. You can place in tables using the new editor.
