Run out zones of mid-morning...

Run out zones of mid-morning avalanches on the western side of the Easton Glacier (early June, 2000). The most prominent avalanche ends abruptly in a narrow bergschrund at the base of the Roman Wall. What a way to go, eh? This photograph was taken from just below the Sherman crater during the descent towards the Railroad Grade. Notice the string of climbers on the skyline ascending the ridge from the Coleman/Deming glacier routes. Get an early start!
