| Didn't quite make it to the glacier. My partner wasn't feeling well and bailed at the pass. I pushed on, but had trouble following the trail, and I bailed as clouds and weather approached. Looked like a fun climb I may return to someday. | |

| no success. we got socked in at the top of the ridge above hannegan (sp?) pass. very lovely. wish we could have seen some of the views though. we got close. the steep hill that goes down the the pass is rediculous when it's just wet and no snow. slippery, muddy, rooty mess. i wish i had snow to do some kick steps. oh well. quite an adventure...a cold, dark, rainy adventure. thats how i like my adventures in washington | |

| It rained for the entire approach, then snowed for the entire climb. Visability was little more than 100ft most of the time. Summit after about 5 hours. Old Goretex jacket offically no longer waterproof. | |

| Nick and I climbed Ruth on our way back out from trying for Challenger. We climbed up onto the Ruth Arm with superb views in every direction. We had an extra day, so we bivied on a flat spot in the trees. We had the mountain all to ourselves. | |

| Four hours from car to summit. A great summit close to the road, easily doable in a day. The most amazing views of the Price Glacier on Mt. Shuksan. | |

| Scramble up the gully above Hannegan was the usual muddy mess. Almost no snow on the bench above, so much safer. Some small crevasses showing on the glacier, but not open. We roped up for the trip to the summit. Nooksack Cirque and Shuksan were mostly obscured by clouds. Still, a fun day, although long. | ||

| We did Ruth Glacier in a day trip, hiked in from Hannegan Pass Trail, had some great views from the summit of Ruth Mountain. Roundtrip 10 hours 15 minutes with about 1 hour of route finding mix ups - missed the steep "trail" through the bushes. Overall great day! | |

| Spent a fantastic weekend with Peter, Magnus & Bala. Despite poor visibility, really enjoyed the route finding and crevass negotiation. Quite a spectacular glacier for such a small mountain. Going in October I'm sure helped! | |

| Had a great time with SPers Eileen, Peter, and Magnus. It rained on us pretty hard on the previous day and it remained cloudy on the summit day. The glacier was quite broken up, and there were a couple of interesting snow bridges across huge crevasses to cross. The sun came out when we were on our way back and presented some amazing views! | |

| Summitted from Hannegan Trailhead in 4hr 15 minutes. Beautiful day with great views all around. Gentle glacier slope and only saw 3 or 4 minor crevasses (none we had to cross over). | |

| Awesome day, route was easy and the glacier was easy to navigate w/o ropes. Incredible views of shuksan and the pickets started at TH @ 8am and to the summit by noon Left summit at 1245 and back to car by 315 | |

| Climbed the Ruth Glacier route from Hannegan Pass. Many large downed trees blocked the Hannegan Pass Road a few miles from the trailhead. New snow from a spring snow storm, and warm weather a few days later when we climbed, made for interesting wet slide conditions. Some exciting avalanches came off of the Northern slopes of Shuksan. All in all, a great climb. | |
