Sahale Oct 20, 2005

A 36 hour storm rolled in the night of Oct 18, 2005, and it cleared between 4 AM and sunrise on Oct 20, 2005, when this picture was taken from the base of Sahale Glacier. Snow accumulations began just below the Sahale Glacier campsite, and were much more significant furthur up the glacier. The snow and ice on the summit was not significant enough for an axe to bite, yet dangerously slippery.
